Snacking Ideas – Versatile Rice Cakes :)
I recently discovered how much I REALLY like rice cakes. I never use to be a fan of them due to the dry and lack of flavor (even the flavored ones) until about a month or two ago. I got the idea to top my rice cakes and give them some flavor ๐ and now I can’t stop eating them. I eat them for breakfast, lunch and snack time…hmm going to try to incorporate a dinner soon I guess.
Here are some ideas to infuse flavor into an otherwise healthy but tasteless product.
Top with…
Nut Butters ( I love chocolate peanut butter, chocolate almond butter, and regular peanut butter, but going to experiment with cashew butter, pistachio butter and pecan butter soon mmm getting hungry just thinking about them LOL )
Shredded coconut or coconut crumbles (Add shredded coconut to your food processor and process away, at some point you will have crumbly coconut, if you keep processing you will have coconut cream, I store mine in a mason jar in the fridge)
Banana slices or any other fruit your inspired to try
Honey (optional add a dash cinnamon and or vanilla bean/vanilla extract)
Jelly or Jam
And while your at it while not try layering some of these toppings. The possiblities are endless, let your creative juices flow and so will your saliva! ๐
