Do you want to challenge yourself but don’t know where to start?

No worries, I created a plan to make it easy for you but first find out why I took the challenge.

A little over a week ago, in one of my Facebook groups a challenge was thrown out.  “Who wants to go raw with me?” was the question.  The rules. NONE!  That was inspiring and from that moment I said to myself, “you know what, it’s time to go beyond last years fast/detox challenge of 7 days.”

If you didn’t already read about that challenge, please do because it was an empowering and eye opening experience.  An experience that helped me get to the point of knowing I could do anything I set my mind too and that is the strength I used this time around.

My challenge to self this year was a 8 day 100% full raw challenge.  Nothing cooked, nothing warm (except tea and herbal infusions) and full of fresh fruit and veggies!  What an empowering journey.  Day 3 was the most difficult, which is ironic since that is the same day I felt really challenged to press on during my last fast.  All I wanted was some bread, something warm and chewy.

Day 3 is also the day my energy level and my food creativity got turned on high speed. 🙂 I started having a lot of ideas flowing very easily and I created many delicious meals that will become regulars.  As an unintended side effect I lost a little bit of weight, the “love handles” got a little lighter lol

This challenge really got me thinking about self challenges, challenges without lots of rules just one goals and objectives.  It was such an eye opening experience that I decided to challenge myself to something new once a month for the entire year of 2016.  I can’t wait to see what I am able to push through and accomplish at the end of the year.

I know there are many out there that want to try going all raw but don’t know where to start or even why they should.  I mean going raw seems to be a craze, right?  By taking the 3 – 7 day challenge you will find the strength deep down inside of you that you didn’t know you had.  When you apply that strength to other areas of your life, I’m sure you’ll find that nothing can stop you from achieving your goals!
